Pastoral Visiting

Pastoral Care, of which Pastoral Visiting is one element, is the responsibility of all church members and not just the Clergy. In the Church today we are challenged to move from a model of ministry in which Pastoral Care is the responsibility of ordained ministers to one in which Pastoral Care is the vocation of the whole people of God.

Pastoral Care happens when Christians help others by listening, responding, praying and providing caring support. our intention is to provide support that is structured, comprehensive and inclusive.

We have a group of Pastoral Visitors available to support individuals at difficult times such as - long term sickness, bereavement, relationship breakdown, debt, victims of crime or abuse, local emergencies, terminal illness, and many more. But Pastoral Visiting is more than this and we need your help

How can you get involved in this ministry?

In partnership with the clergy Jill Rose coordinates the work of the pastoral visiting team, so please contact her, or any of the clergy if you prefer, then we can consider the most appropriate way to respond. Any information shared will be treated in confidence.
